Menurut kata orang Syekh Puji bukanlah orang yang hobi pamer harta. Ia malah menyibukkan diri mengurusi perusahaannya PT Sinar Lendoh Terang (Silenter). Diketahui perusahaan itu memproduksi kaligrafi berlapis kuningan yang diekspor dengan pendapatan bersih lebih dari Rp 300 juta per bulan.

Sedangkan kabar pernikahannya dengan Ulfa, ternyata mereka telah dikaruniai dua orang anak.
